The Center for Disability Services
The Center for Disability Services are committed to innovation. The Center’s employees seek creative solutions for individuals with disabilities in the classroom, clinic and workplace, with the goal of providing hope and encouraging achievement. Many of the Center’s innovative programs and vital services are not found elsewhere.
In its 77 year history, the Center has forged strong partnerships with area businesses and organizations including the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association. The Center for Disability Services is proud to be charitable partner of the 2019 Parade of Homes.
The 2019 Parade of Homes will benefit thousands of individuals with disabilities and increase independence by providing funding for specialized mobility equipment. MOVE, Mobility Opportunities Via Education/Experience, is a model program for children and adults at the Center which emphasizes mobility and skills development in every aspect of life for a person who has a disability: in the classroom, at home, in job training, at work, in recreation and other pursuits. The MOVE Program (Mobility Opportunity Via Education/Experience) is available to students and adults across the Center and its affiliates, Prospect Center in Queensbury and St. Margaret’s Center in Albany.
